Dave Intner

A staunch proponent of sustainable building strategies, Dave has been LEED Accredited since September of 2002. He is also a Certified Green Building Professional and Green Point Rater.  He currently serves as the Ventura County Chair for the California Central Coast Chapter (C4) of the U.S. Green Building Council.

Growing up in Sonoma County, Dave has long been passionate about sustainable design.  Dave received his Bachelors degree in Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1996.  Immediately after college, Dave gained expertise in the development of building skin design while employed by the international engineering firm of KPFF, managing the cladding detailing for high rise towers in Asia and, domestically, projects for Nike.

Subsequently, Dave spent time with BOORA architects in Portland working on several cultural & higher education projects, most notably the Mondavi Performing Arts Center at U.C. Davis.  In 2000, he moved back to California where he took a job with Andy Neumann’s Firm in Carpinteria. In addition to several private residences along the Santa Barbara Coastline, Dave managed the design of a Discovery Center for the Santa Barbara Zoo, which was developed according to the LEED guidelines for sustainable construction.
